Conceptional objective:

Our creative brief was to create an engaging strategy promoting the global boutique chain’s “bountiful” breakfast offering whilst promoting an intrinsic connection between the brand and the city. Research showed that the main reason for visitors to stay at Hotel Indigo’s hotels was for tourism, however the chain also didn’t want to isolate corporate guests.

Creative response:

Our innovative response was to create a visual feast of bespoke illustrative interpretations of significant landmarks for each city. P&W commissioned numerous watercolour illustrations, working closely with a UK-based artist. We applied these vibrant designs to various materials, from entry cards and take-away cups to “grab-and-go breakfast bags and menu placemats. We created this collateral for a variety of locations, including: Rome, London, Edinburgh, Paris and Barcelona.

Commercial Conclusion:

P&W’s design strategy ensures wherever Hotel Indigo’s guests go, they are interacting with the brand’s welcoming aesthetic, helping the chain become synonymous with each city environment in an inspiring and charming manner.
